Research Notes

4/19/18

  • Could not find any reference to Ann Case in the History of Hampton New Hampshire. [4]

While investigating Suggestion 406 Marriage after death, research on Ann was undertaken. There are several points to make:

It is possible Ann's last name is Case not Cass. References in Family Search and Ancestry have an Ann Case but not Ann Cass.
There is no evidence found that Ann is the daughter of John and Martha Cass. In fact, there is no birth evidence for either Ann Case or Ann Case
The birth place of Hampton, Rockingham, New Hampshire is likely wrong as she was married in Roxbury and was born there probably. New Hampshire was where John and Martha Cass lived.
There are marriage date references to Thomas for both 1692 and 1693, with the later being obviously wrong as she and her son died in 1693.
