Edward, son of Patrick Cassidy and Catherine McCormack. [1]
Edward was a Carpenter in Kilcummin, County Kings. With the death of his father (before 1901) his mother Catherine became the Head of the House. At the time of the 1901 Census, three of his siblings are still living in the family home, Patrick and James working as agricultural labourers and his sister Sarah employed as a general servant.
On 27 April 1906, Edward married Catherine Katie Birmingham at the Bauaghery RC Chapel, in County Kings. James and Christina Archibald were their witnesses. [2] After their marriage they moved into his family home. His mother is now in her early 70's and sister Sarah and brother James have moved out.
Edward and Katie had a son Patrick born about 1907.
