Biography

Edna was born in November 1920 in Adelaide, [1]the daughter of Leslie Cassidy and Ivy Jenkins. She passed away at the age of 43 years due to cancer at Daw Park in December 1963. [2]

Edna married Walton Edward PRYOR (Wally) who was working in the Royal Australian Air Force)[3], on 03 February 1940 [4]. The wedding was celebrated at Colonel Light Gardens Methodist Church, followed by a large reception with 100 guests at the Colonel Light Gardens Institute, and written up in articles in the local newspapers. [5]

They had 3 sons: - William (Bill), a pastor, married to Pat, no children, living in Adelaide; - Kenneth (Ken), married to Maxine, no children, living at Happy Valley; - Walton Leslie (died aged 3.5 months in 1949) was found dead in his bassinet by his mother at 7 a.m. in the morning at their home at Corunna Ave, Colonel Light Gardens. He was reported to have been in good health and the cause of death was not known. [6]

Edna was godmother of Shon Campbell Campbell-10704. [7]

Cassidy-1169 and Cassidy-1588 appear to represent the same person because: Hello Kaye. Somehow a mistake occurred in the merging and Edna and Ethel Cassidy appear twice as siblings of Les Cassidy. I will also propose to merge the profiles for Ethel (Cassidy-1590 and Cassidy-1170) and for Les
