I would like to find him in the 1900 US Census, but indexers dont list him in Peru, so maybe he was missed in 1900 or they could not read it when indexing ???
Born in Ireland, came to NY about 1845, farmed land in Peru, NY. 1850 Residence:Peru, Clinton, New York, United States Gender Male Age 29 Race White Birth Year (Estimated) 1821 Birthplace Ireland House Number 606.[1]
In the 1850 census they are called "Cassada" so are missed in the indexes when you look for Cassidy. [2]
Peru Village Cemetery stone.
This profile is of interest in my research, exploring the whereabouts of an Edward CASSIDY originally from Fermanagh Ireland, but who was a convict that escaped the Colony of New South Wales in 1833. If you are a descendant and have had your DNA tested please contact Veronica Williams.
This 1860 reference in the US Census shows their several children... looks like they had a good romantic life together and did their duty well...
