The FamilyTreeDNA Y-DNA/111 reports a Paternal Haplogroup of R-M269[1]. This is a very crude result because it is from an STR test. Haplogroups can only be determined by a SNP test. The 23andMe test result gives a much more precise Haplogroup. The FamilyTreeDNA y-DNA/111 test results are posted online for comparison: Ysearch Q98QJ. The Family Tree DNA kit number: 364331.
The 23andMe result reports over 2300 SNPs on the Y-DNA, and reports a Haplogroup of R1b1b2a1a1a, however, this is using an old version of the Haplogroup tree. The correct solution for determining haplogroups, is to compare the SNPs with the latest haplogroup tree.[2] Here is my progression:

From a discussion at ancestry.com, this is Y chromosomal haplogroup R1b1a2a1a1c2a. The parent branch is gs114 but this also has an A at rs17222279 instead of the older G. Before 2013 this was known as R1b1b2a1a1a. http://www.familytreedna.com/public/u198/
