Jane Cathey was born about 1798 in Kentucky. By 1850, she was 52 and listed in the 1850 Federal Census as the head of household. Her 70-year-old husband was listed as a Farmer. Three other family members are attached to the household. (1850 Federal Census).

I believe Jane W Cathey to be the daughter of Griffith Rutherford Cathey and Susannah Jane Cathey. They were cousins and didn't offficially marry until 1803 in Sumner County, Tennessee. Does anyone have proof of this or proof of her lineage?

I feel certain that Jane's parents were Griffith Rutherford Cathey and Savannah Jane Cathey. These two were first cousins, but their ages and location speaks to me. Does anyone have any proof they are or are not her parents?
