Henry Cavendish, Viscount Mansfield & Earl of Ogle (b. 19 Jan 1662/3 - dsp. 01 Nov 1680). He was also the 10th and last Lord Ogle of Ogle & Bothal.[1]
On 27 Mar 1679, he married Elizabeth Percy (b. 26 Jan 1666/7), daughter and sole heir of Joceline, 11th Earl of Northumberland, at Isleworth, co. Middlesex. He also took the Percy surname at the time of their marriage, but died childless the next year. The couple never lived together. She remarried to the commoner Thomas Thynne, a.k.a. "Tom of the Ten Thousand."[1]
Henry Cavendish, Earl of Ogle (1659 – 1 Nov 1680) was the only son and heir of Henry Cavendish, 2nd Duke of Newcastle but died before his father at 21; the Dukedom became extinct on his father's death but was revived for Henry's brother-in-law, John Holles, Duke of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
Henry had a short-lived marriage to Lady Elizabeth Percy, daughter of the last Earl of Northumberland and the greatest heiress of her time, she was only twelve when she married and was widowed a year later.
