Biography
Amelia, 'Amy', was born on 8 May1869 in Uitenhage, Cape Colony; she was the daughter of John Henry Cawood and Aletta Carolina Petronella (Bakkes) Cawood.
She was 22 years old when she married 28 year old John Henry Featherstone in her father's home in Mount Stewart on 19 April 1892.[1]
