Rowland, the son of John Thomas Chadwick and Catherine Moore,[1] emigrated to Canada from England and married Martha Wheaton in 1875.[2] In 1881 they lived on a farm in London Township, Middlesex County, Ontario, with their two young children, Mary Helena and Rowley John.[3] They had two more children: Dora and Frederick.
After Martha died in 1895, Rowland married her sister, Mary, in 1897.[4]
Rowley died of consumption on September 26, 1898.[5]
