Biography

From Boyd and McCracken:

James Chadwick, son of Richard Chadwick by wife Mary Tillotson, has not been found in any birth record. He married at Lyme, 22 June 1743, Martha Chadwick, daughter of Nathaniel Chadwick by wife Sarah, his first cousin. James died before 13 Nov. 1759, the date of Nathaniel Chadwick's will which bequeaths to "my daughter Martha, widow of James Chadwick."^[1]

The couple had four children.^[1]
