Reuben was probably born in Falmouth, Barnstable County, Province of Mass. Bay, although his birth is not recorded there. An approximate year of birth of 1758 would seem appropriate if he was aged about 21 at the time of his marriage in 1786, and about age 18 at the beginning of his military service in Sept. 1776.
