Biography

Gladys Amy Chainey was born in Bradford Abbas, Dorset, and baptised there on 18th May 1890, the daughter of Samuel and Jane Chainey. ^[1]

The family are living in Well Street, Bradford Abbas in 1891, where Samuel, age 31 is a railway labourer. His wife Jane is 33, and they have children Elsie age 5, Reginald age 3 and 1 year old Gladys, all are shown as being born in Bradford Abbas. ^[2]
