Joseph was born 22 Jun 1698. He was baptized the same day in Notre-Dame-de-Québec. He was the son of Paul Chalifoux and his wife Marie Jeanne Philippeau.
On 9 Mar 1720 (the date states 9 March but the act is written between 1 April and 15 April, it is possible this was an error and the date was 9 April and it is also possible it was a late entry), in Beauport, Joseph Chalifour son of deceased Paul Chalifour and deceased Jeanne Philippeaux (the entry reads: Jeanne Philigneux) married Marguerite Veronique Parent daughter of Michel Parent and Jeanne Chevalier. Several signatures including Michel Parent, likely the bride's father, neither the bride nor groom could sign. [1]
Joseph Chalifoux died 12 Aug 1753. He was buried the next day in Notre-Dame-de-Québec.
