Census
1800 US Census for Thetford, VT: [9] Timy Chamberlin household, male 16-25, with a female 16-25, and a male under 10. It seems likely that this is the correct Timothy and if so brings up several issues: if Timothy's birthday is 1785, he already had a wife and son in his hometown of Thetford by age 15; alternatively, it may be more consistent with the birthdate 1775 occasionally seen for him, as well as with the 50-59 age range of Timothy as head of household in 1830 (US census reference below). In addition, it is very unlikely that the 1800 Thetford wife is Elizabeth Hills since she was almost certainly born in NY, where Timothy moved between 1800 and 1810. Some sources refer without proof to another wife for Timothy, possibly Lydia Taylor, and it is conceivable that she was the first wife in Thetford.Chamberlin-337 14:07, 23 May 2015 (EDT)
