Biography

Joseph and his twin sister Mary were born to Aaron and Sarah (Adams) Chamberlain in 1797 in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. In 1829, he married Martha T. Putnam, and they had four children together. Joseph and his wife Martha are buried at the Heart Pond Cemetery in Chelmsford, along with their son Adams and his wife.
