Biography

John Chamberlin, son of Aaron Chamberlin and Sarah Adams, was born on April 20, 1784, in Chelmsford, Massachusetts.[1][2] He married Rebecca Coonley about 1815. They had two children: Eliza Chamberlin and John Adams Chamberlin.

Rebecca died in 1842. Chamberlin married Nancy Green on September 17, 1844, in Chateaugay, New York.[3] Chamberlin died on December 15, 1873, in Grand Isle, Vermont.[4][2]

Chamberlin. This branch of the family spells their surname without the 'a' in the last syllable. John Chamberlin's surname is spelled that way on town records, most census records, and his gravestone.
