Abner Chamberlin was born on August 11, 1804.
He was a Captain in the militia and held town offices. In 1857 he moved from Newbury, VT to Spring Prairie with his wife and younger child; in 1867, he moved to Burlington, Wisconsin. He returned to Vermont in 1878.
He married Mary, daughter of Capt. David Haseltine, on Dec. 1, 1825. They raised a family of ten together:
He passed away on October 4, 1884 in Bradford, Vermont.
