At least one message at Ancestry and comments for the Chamberlin Genealogy group suggest that the John that married Hannah is the son of John Camberlin and Hannah Farwell, not the John who was the son of Aaron and Thankful. - this maybe why there is an issue with dates.

Research Notes
Death Date: John's death date, "23 Sep 1793," cannot be correct as it is earlier than the births of all of his alleged children. I note that Vital Records of Billerica, Massachusetts does contain a record for the death of a "John Chamberlain" on the above date (Page 348); the record is said to have come from a family Bible. I only looked at the Billerica Records because FamilySearch contained a Billerica birth record citing a date identical to the Chelmsford record. The "Vital Records (Page 37)" also list a "John Chamberlain" Billerica birth, again from a Bible, that would seem to be identical to the Chelmsford record, except that the exact year is missing: "Chamberlain, John, ch. Aaron, Jan. 16, 17[ ]" White-34498 22:52, 2 October 2018 (UTC)
