The daughter of Elbert Chambers and Mary (Sanders) Chambers, Anna Chambers was born in Muddy Bayou, Arkansas[citation needed] in 1889, residing there with her family.[1] She married Henry Lester Wood, the son of James Bailey Wood and Sadie Elizabeth Williams, marrying in Faulkner County, Arkansas on October 10, 1908[2] and having three children together:

They made their home in Matthews Township, Arkansas, where Lester Wood farmed on his own account.[3] The marriage ended in divorce and Annie and her children moved to her family's home in Enola, Arkansas, working on her father's home farm.[4]
Annie remarried in 1921, marrying Walter James Bell (1875-1929), the son of William Walter Bell and Mariah Adeline Ring, his third wife, marrying in Cleburne County, Arkansas on October 3, 1921[5] and having four children together:

Walter James Bell, Jr. (1928-2013)
Anna Mae (Bell) Bolton (1928-2000)
Widowed in 1928, Annie lived with her children in 1930 in Nettleton, Arkansas, farming on her own account.[6] In 1940, she lived in Maumelle, Arkansas.[7]
Anna Bell passed away in Jonesboro, Arkansas[citation needed] at the age of 84, residing last in Jonesboro,[8] and is buried at Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro.[9]
