Birth

Jan Chambers married Cornelia van Aaken by 1693. Their children included:

  1. Andries, baptized 28 April 1693 in the Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston, New York.
  2. Lysbet, baptized 8 March 1696.
  3. Margriet, baptized in the Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston, New York, on 25 September 1698.[1]
  4. Eduard, baptized in the Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston, New York on 11 Aug 1706. [2].

The name of John Chambers appears on the tax assessment list for the Corporation of Kingston in 1714/5.[3]

Jan Chambers died before 22 June 1731, when Cornelia Van Aaken, described as the widow of Jan Chambers, married Jan Van Etten, widower of Jannetjen Roosa, as her second husband. They resided in Hurley, Ulster County, New York. The marriage was recorded in the Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston, New York.[4]
