Residence 1921

Census of Humbermouth. Florence, age 7, b. Oct 1914 (sic). In the household with her father John Gillett, her mother Minnie Gillett, and a number of siblings[1].

Burial

Her tombstone notes that Florrie Bursey died 31 Jul, 1957 at age 41. She was the "Beloved wife of Raymond Bursey." She was buried in Corner Brook, at Osmond's Avenue Pentecostal Cemetery[2]

Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, December 18, 2006, of Clarke's Beach, aged 94 years. Predeceased by parents Albert and Beatrice (Hodinott) Bursey, 1st wife Florrie Bursey (nee Gillette), sisters Mathilda (Joe) Budgell, Dulcie (Willis) Clarke, Cathleen Bursey, brother Ford (Louise). Leaving to mourn wife Hazel, sons: Austin (Gay), Melvin (Marie); daughters: Marie (Kenneth) Parsons, Violet (James) Well; sisters: Ruby (Philip) Wells, Myrtle (George) Hodinott; brother: Chesley (Maude); sister-in-law Rose Wellman; 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Pentecostal Tabernacle, Clarke's Beach. Visitation Tuesday: 12 noon- 9 p.m.; Wednesday: 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.; Thursday: 9 a.m. - 12 noon. Funeral Service to take place on Thursday, December 21, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. from Pentecostal Tabernacle, Clarke's Beach. Interment in the Pentecostal Cemetery, Clarke's Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Bible Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Moore's Funeral Home, Clarke's Beach. [3]
