Biography

Samewell, son of Roger Chandler and Mary his wife was born Mar. 3, 1673/4, in Concord, Middlesex, Massachusetts.[1]

Samuel married Dorcas Bus Dec 11,1695[1] Dorcas Buss was d/o Joseph & Elizabeth b 26 Jan 1672[1] Mrs. Dorcas Chandler, relict of Samuel, age 84, died jan 13 1757 - stone in the Concord Burying Ground.[1]

Samuel served from Concord on the House of Representatives 1729-36. In no year did he have more than ten committees, and during the nine years that he served, he had an average of fewer than five committees [2].

He was selectman 1718-24, 30-36, 39; and treasurer 1723-27 of Concord [2].

He was a farmer. [2]
