A John Davis married Agnes Chandler 24 October 1577 in Frocester, Gloucestershire, England.[1] They had one child Alice born at Forcester on 16 March 1577/8 and then there are no further records there for this couple. Frocester is less than 20 miles from Acton Turville which made this a possibility; however, his first grandchild by his oldest James was not born until 1619 making his likely birth date in the 1590's, they had another son born in 1601 and a third who was underage in 1626. A 1577 marriage date of 1577 is too early to be the marriage of John Davis of Acton Turville. So, this Agnes Chandler did not marry John Davis of Acton Turville and was not possibly the mother of the New England immigrants.
The next problem is there is no evidence that Thomas Chandler and Joan Page had a daughter Agnes. This when taken into account that the children of Thomas and Joan were all baptized at Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire, England, some distance from Frocester, argues strongly that the Agnes Chandler who married John Davis in 1577 belongs to a different unknown family.

Chandler-1812 and Chandler-178 appear to represent the same person because: Agnes Chandler married John Davis on 24 Oct 1577 in Frocester, Gloucester, England. This John Davis is not the same as John Davis of Acton Turville. This merge is the correct one for Agnes Chandler.
Actually the best way to do this is to merge her into Agnes Chandler-178 who this profile is supposed to be. John Davis married Agnes Chandler on 24 Oct 1577 in Frocester, Gloucester, England. This John and Agnes Davis of Frocester is completely different than John and Agnes Davis of Acton Turville, which is the cause of the confusion.
Unknown-498452 and Chandler-1812 appear to represent the same person because: Unknown is the spouse of James Davis-2259 who is the father of the same highly unusual set of children as Chandler-1812
1. Disconnecting her from her parents as there is no evidence they had a daughter Agnes, and they lived in a different part of England.
2. Disconnecting her from her husband John Davis of Acton Turville. The 1577 marriage cannot be to this John Davis.
3. Disconnecting her from all children except Alice who is her only known child. Born at Frocester shortly after her marriage.
I agree with Robin's comment. This Agnes would be 3 years old at marriage. I believe the correct LNAB is Pelling, with the 1597 marriage. I doesn't appear that this Agnes Chandler is sourced, so would suggest detaching her from Chandler family and changing LNAB.
The entire ancestry of James Davis is currently garbage. His mother should probably be Agnes Unknown. A John Davis married an Agnes Chandler and a different John Davis married an Agnes Salmon - in both cases the marriage date makes it unlikely to be correct. Definitely no parents should be attached to Agnes even if she is Agnes Chandler. The dates are all inventions.

Another merge has been completed on this profile, but would the profile managers review their data. Are there really two woman by this name and each having married a John Davis? places, dates are now not so certain... Thanks
Chandler-1812 and Davys-33 appear to represent the same person because: Names, dates and places match well enough in these profiles. Note that "Will Alice Named, Wiltshire, England" is a very poor bit of text copied into Ancestry.com and never edited out (they're terrible about that). This lady was born and died in Acton Turville, Gloucestershire.
