I have a Master's degree in Library and Information Science, with an emphasis in archives and archival research. Genealogy is a passion of mine and it keeps me up waaaay too late at night!
By day I help others connect with their pasts by assisting them with archival research at the county archives where I work. After seeing their joy and excitement and the real difference it makes in their lives, I often found myself wishing that I had someone like me to help me with my own genealogy - which is complicated to say the least! So I have reached out across the internet to build a network of knowledgeable new friends to help me find the missing pieces in my own story and hopefully one day connect me with living relatives who can share the stories and memories you just can't get from official records!
I have become fairly proficient utilizing Danish records databases online and can offer some helpful tips if any other non-Danish speakers are interested in exploring this fabulous resource.
I also have direct access to county records for Yolo County in California and am happy to do some research in my off-time. The archives have deeds, probate records, marriage licenses, newspapers, Great Registers, family histories, and much much more. If you think you might have ancestors in the Yolo County area, don't be afraid to ask!
