Also, based on this http://goo.gl/pumu9e page in "Register

By Order of the Founders and Patriots of America" she's descended from Ebenezer Chapin

She seems to be related to Ferdinand "The Best-Hated Man in the United States" Ward, based on this http://goo.gl/oPAMgf page from "A Disposition to Be Rich" by Geoffrey C. Ward. Also, according to this http://goo.gl/AqBGFC page from "The Whitney Family of Connecticut and its Affiliations, vol.1" by Stephen Whitney Phoenix, her parents were the Hon. Moses Chapin and Esther Maria Ward Chapin. Her mother is listed here http://goo.gl/n6mjeN in "Andrew Warde and his descendants" by George Kemp Ward (and presumably so are the rest of her male ancestors.) And this http://goo.gl/o1nNY1 page on the Litchfield Historical Society site seems to be talking about her father.
