Biography
Born in Boston, Masachussets, she is said to have been named for three ships, the Jeanette, Josephine & Elizabeth owned by her father Captain Chapman.
The family moved to Mongonui, New Zealand when she was still an infant. [1] [2]
They later moved to Auckland.
