Biography

Mary Chappell, daughter of George Chappell and Christian (Bell) Chappell, was born in Wethersfield, Connecticut probably about 1642.[1][2][3] Early in the 1650s, Mary's family moved down to New London, Connecticut.[2][4]

Mary married John Daniels in New London on January 19, 1664/5.[3][5][6][7][8][9] Mary and John had the following children:

  1. John, b. January 19, 1665/6,[3][8] m. December 3, 1685 Agnes Beeby,[8] d. January 15, 1756[8]
  2. Mary, b. October 12, 1667[3][8]
  3. Thomas, b. December 31, 1669,[3][8] d. October 12, 1725[8]
  4. Christian, b. March 3, 1671[3][8]
  5. Hannah, b. April 20, 1674[3][8]
  6. Rachel, b. February 27, 1676[3][8]
  7. Sarah, b. February 10, 1679[3][8]
  8. Jonathan, b. October 15, 1682[3][8]
  9. Clement, birthdate not recorded[3][8]

New London records show Mary as a widow in July 1710.[3][10] Her date of death is unknown.
