Jean Baptiste was the son of Clement Charle (sic) dit La Jeunesse and Marie Dupré of the "Haut des Milles Isles". He was born 3 Sep 1722 and baptized 6 Sep 1722 in Rivière-des-Prairies de Montréal. His godparents were Baptiste Maissoneuve son of Pierre Maissoneuve and Marguerite Charle dite La Jeunesse daughter of Michel Charle, no signatures. [1]
On 19 Aug 1743, in St-Charles-de-Lachenaie, Jean Baptiste Charles son of deceased Clement Charles and Marie Dupré married Marguerite Garriepy (sic) daughter of Jean Baptiste Garriepy (sic) and deceased Margueritte Bouchard. Witnesses Clement Charles, Jacques, Jean, Pierre and Alexis Garriepy (sic), several sign the register "Gariepy". [2]
Jean Baptiste Charles dit Clement, 66 year old husband of Marguerite Garriepy (sic), died 27 Jun 1789. He was buried under a church bench in St-Louis de Terrebonne on 30 Jun 1789. There was a large attendance at his funeral. [3]
