Hi Leandro, you are right, we do have a lot of profiles for people who immigrated to North America but not so much for South America. Since we're striving to build one worldwide tree we'd of course love to have any information on your family you want to contribute! I took a look at your GEDCOM and the one thing you would need to do is skip anyone who doesn't have a birth or death date attached. (If you sort by "Birth" it's easy to find them). Those people can be entered manually at a later date if you wish. The individuals who do have birth/death dates can certainly be imported with the GEDCOM! If you have questions, let me know. Thanks!
Hello,

Thank you for joining WikiTree. As a WikiTree Mentor I am available to answer any questions or help solve any issues you may be having. How is your experience with Wikitree going? If you have questions regarding Gedcoms, here's the link to the GEDCOM help category: [ http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:GEDCOMs GEDCOMS]

Feel free to ask me via my profile page if you have any questions.

Hi!

I noticed you uploaded a GEDCOM. Our process here is a little different than what you might find on other sites because of our goal of growing one worldwide tree with a single profile for each individual. Here's a link to a great step-by-step of the process including screenshots that you might find helpful. You might also want to check out our Before You Import a GEDCOM help page. Feel free to message me if you have any questions!

Thank you, for volunteering to help grow our worldwide family tree. Our Honor Code, G2G message forum, help pages, search features, and many other useful links can be accessed from the menus on the upper right corner of most pages. VERY IMPORTANT: The more documents, sources, dates, and locations you provide on the profiles you create, the stronger your branches and our mutual global tree will be. If you don't know the correct date, please estimate using before or after. Our mission is to build a global tree with just one profile per person, so please try very hard not to add any duplicates to our shared tree. Hope you enjoy WikiTree! Donna
I'm a descendant from Russian, Polish and Italian immigrants living in Argentina. Family meetings always have a genealogy section that always ends nowhere. I want to have a place where different members of the family can post their family information to try and figure out what happened at least 2 generations ago. WikiTree sounds like the place to do it and maybe in the process even find some distant relatives we didn't know about. WWII messed up all our family information and we are hoping to put it back together. Thanks!

Welcome to WikiTree. We're glad you found us.

How To Use WikiTree is a good place to start. It is a step-by-step-guide to WikiTree basics. Our G2G Forum is searchable or you can post a question there. The Help Index is also an important place to find how to do most tasks.

If you would like to contribute your family's tree and you agree with our Honor Code (click the link to it in the drop-down menu in "Help" at upper right), volunteer here on your profile by typing a message with something referencing the Honor Code and sharing and we would be glad to add you to our WikiTree community. Donna
