According to A Merrill Memorial[1] . . . "Daniel Merrill was born 8 Mar. 1671/2, in Newbury, Mass. He married Esther Chase, daughter of Aquila and Esther (Bond) Chase of Newbury. She was born 18 Nov. 1674, and died in 1751. To his widow, jointly with his son Peter, administration on his estate[2] was granted 29 Sept. 1725. All the children appear to have been living 2 Oct. 1751. Daniel Merrill was a member of the Congregational Church in West Newbury."
