Mary Elizabeth Chase was born in that part of Machias, Maine, set off in 1826 as East Machias, 8 May 1819, the daughter of Levi M. Chase and Ruth S. Foster; ^[1] died before 28 Jun 1859, when her husband married (2) at East Machias, Maine, Eliza C. Beverly. ^[2]

She married at East Machias, 10 Oct 1845, John K. Parsons, as his first wife. ^[1]
