Biography

Joel S Chase was born on January 6, 1802, in East Machias, Washington, Maine, his father, Apollos Chase and his mother, Nancy Ann Scott. He married Joanna S Connick in 1829 in East Machias, Washington County, Maine. He died on January 19, 1853, in his hometown at the age of 51, and was buried in Machias Village Cemetery, East Machias, Washington County, Maine.
