Elisabeth was born in 1739 to Jean Chasse dit Bourguignon and Marie Josephe Mignault dit Chatillon. Her father immigrated from France, and her mother was born in Canada. Marie Josephe died when Elisabeth was 17. Elizabeth passed away in 1764 at 24 years of age, just a little over a month after giving birth to her daughter Marie Elizabeth.
