Jehu B Chastain wed Adaline Hunter September 9, 1906 in Charleston District, Franklin County, Arkansas.^[1]

Jay Chastain was enumerated as head of the household at Branch and Booneville Road, Donald, Franklin County, Arkansas for the April 21, United States Census, 1910. He was noted as born 1883 in Arkansas and married. He was a laborer (hired-out) and a renter as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Addie Chastain, daughter Pearl Chastain, daughter Katie Chastain and son Roy Chastain.^[2]
