Biography

Sopha Chastain was enumerated as daughter of the head of household in Earlsboro Township, Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma Territory for the June 19, United States Census, 1900. She was noted as born January 1884 in Arkansas, single and at school. Also included in the household are head William Chastain, wife Rosa Chastain, son (daughter) Willie Chastain, daughter Lucy Chastain, stepson Fred Hutchinson, stepson Kief Hutchinson, stepdaughter Geneva Hutchinson and mother-in-law Mary Sims as seen in an image of the original census.^[1]
