Leota was born May 16, 1915.^[1]

Leoda Chastain was enumerated as daughter of the head of household at Beverly, Sebastian County, Arkansas for the January 16, United States Census, 1920. She was noted as born 1914 in Arkansas and single as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Addie Chastain, daughter Pearl Chastain, daughter Katie Chastain, son Roy Chastain, son Charlie Chastain and daughter Lucinda Chastain.^[2]

Leota Chastain was enumerated as daughter of the head of household at Vann, Muskogee County, Oklahoma for the April 9, United States Census, 1930. She was noted as born 1916 in Arkansas and single as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Addy Chastain, daughter Pearl Chastain, daughter Kate Chastain, son Ray Chastain, son Chas Chastain, daughter Lucinda Chastain and grandson Kenneth Robertson.^[3]
