Biography

Amarilla Chatterson (her name appears in records also as Amerilla and Emerilla) was born on Feb. 6, 1842 in Cramahe Township in Canada West's Northumberland County, the daughter of Elias Chatterson and Charlotte MacDonald.^[1][2]

She married farmer Pitkin Gross Ireland (1840-1917) in Northumberland County on Nov. 16, 1867.^[1][3] They lived and farmed in Murray County^[4] and subsequently in Cramahe Township.^[5][6]

• Carmen Royal (b. Cramahe Tp., 23 June 1883; d. Whitby, 16 Feb 1931)

Amarilla died on Sept. 26, 1930,^[2] and is buried in Cramahe Township's Salem Cemetery.^[7]
