Biography

Richard Cherry was born about 1594 in Cassington, Oxfordshire, England, son of Richard Cherry (~1562–~1613) and Dorothye Unknown (~1570–>1613).

Richard's father Richard Cherry (abt.1562-abt.1613) died about 1613 in Cassington, Oxfordshire, England, aged about 50.[1]

Research notes

In the will of Richard Cherry of Cassington he starts by saying "I Richard Cherry of Cassington in the county of Oxon yeaman weake in body".
He then mentions first his wife Dorothie Cherrie, his eldest son Richard Cherie, his second daughter Elizabeth Cherry, his second son Thomas Cherrie, his third son Francis Cherry, his youngest daughter Marie Cherrie, not yet fourteen, his fourth son John Cherry, his youngest son Henry Cherry.
Lastly, he mentions his eldest daughter Ann Cherie whom he has already given her 20 shillings to buy her a ring.

He also mentions that all of his children were under 21 years of age.
