Thomas Cherry Jnr. was born on 20 July 1738 in Frederick County, Virginia, British Colonial America. He was the son of Thomas Cherry Snr, and his wife Rachel Emlen.
He died on 1 October 1780 in Cherry Valley, Washington County, Pennsylvania, United States. He was killed by Native Americans.

Thomas had a house and lot with a log house 30x20, 1 1/2 stories, 2 windows, and 15 lights on 1 acre valued at 0. Also had 312 acres valued at 19.
Thomas Cherry's will (1760) names his children Thomas, William, Aaron, Moses, John, Ralph, Rachel and Honour, and his wife Rachel (see Harris)
