- Berenice E. Battig, 92, of South Toledo, passed away Friday, October 7, 2005, in Manor of Perrysburg Care Center. She was the daughter of Burton and Amy (Dean) Cherry. She loved to dance, play cards, solve crossword puzzles, play Bingo, read, and was an active member of Margaret Hunt Senior Center.
Berenice was preceded by her husband, Richard Battig. Surviving are her son, Kenneth (Patricia) Battig; daughter, Barbara (Ken) Williams; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers, Robert and James Cherry. Friends may call at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Ave., on Tuesday, October 11, from 5 to 9 p.m., where services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Memorials may be given to a charity of the donor's choice. www.walterfuneralhome.com Blade Obit 10-Oct-2005
