Good Citizen Dies in Little Rock.
J. T. Chester, one of Randolph County's best citizens, died in a hospital in Little Rock Friday afternoon, it is said as the result of an operation for an affliction from which he had been a sufferer for several months. The remains arrived here Saturday and were taken out to the family home, near Elm Store, for burial Sunday. Mr. Chester was about 65 years of age and had been a worthy citizen of Randolph County for many years. He is survived by four sons and four daughters. The sons are R. L., Elijah, Edgar and Ted; the daughters are Mrs. A. N. Kirkpatrick, Mrs. Tom Eaton, Mrs. B. E. Brown, and Mrs. J. S. Brown all of whom reside in Randolph County.[2]
