Biography

John Baptiste was born in 1800 Pennsylvania^[1]
[He was probably not the son of Peter Renaudet Chevalier & his wife, Jane Harriett Lillie. They were married in 1791 in Phildelphia and seem to have had only 1 child: Ann, then Peter died in 1805]^[2]
Instead he was probably the son of Peter's brother, James Chevalier and his wife, Mary Riddle. They had about 6 children.
James' son Peter married Elizabeth Sheets in 1828 and her mother was Mary Sheets. Mary

John may have married Jane Reece.

Trying to prove a connection to daughter Sarah Chevalier Bigley, who was in Meigs Co, Oh in 1850. He must be the man who lived next door to her, but was he John Baptiste Chevalier or John Augustus Chevalier? There were lots of Chevaliers in Meigs County, Ohio
