Goodnestone, Kent: "It appears, from the Tower records of 1279, in the reign of Edward I., that Richard le Dagh, and Eleanor his wife, sold their lands here, with the advowson of the church, to Stephen Chiche, citizen, of Canterbury, with a portion of Blean wood, and some land near it.[3]
