Biography

Caroline graduated from Ripon College, WI. She married Dr. Joseph Mott Turner in 1876. (According to the 1880 census, Dr. Turner was 30 years his wife's senior.) The Turners lived in Brooklyn, New York, and Caroline taught science in the public schools from 1869-1900.

A son, Albert Joseph Turner, was born to the couple on December 26, 1877. Their daughter, Florence Chittenden Turner, was born on July 25, 1879.

Caroline's daughter, Florence Chittenden Turner married Elon Calvin Huntington (parents: Albert Huntington and Mary Bell) in Brooklyn, New York on 10 June 1913. She was 33 and her husband was 34.

At the time of Caroline's death, she was widowed and living at 324 Jefferson Avenue, New York, New York. She was buried in Greenwood Cemetery.
