Biography

Polly was the daughter of Cornelius Chittenden and Rachel (Porter) Chittenden. She was the first daughter they named Polly. Another daughter born shortly after Polly's death was named Polly Ann, no doubt named in honor of their 2 lost children, Polly and Anne.

Polly died aged 8 years and 5 months and is buried with her sisters, Mehetable and Anne, in Winthrop Cemetery. Their gravestone epitaph is "Sleep on sweet babes - make your rest. God cald you home - he thought it best."
