Biography

Anne was the daughter of Cornelius Chittenden and Rachel (Porter) Chittenden. She was born in 1802 and died at 2 years of age in 1804. Another daughter born shortly after Anne's death was named Polly Ann, no doubt in honor of her 2 lost sisters, Polly and Anne.

Anne is buried with her sisters, Mehetable and Polly, in Winthrop Cemetery. Their gravestone epitaph is "Sleep on sweet babes - make your rest. God cald you home - he thought it best."
