Joel Frederick Chittenden, son of David and Phebe (Johnson) was born 9 Oct 1823. He married 18 Oct 1848 Mary Williams who was born 1830 and died 10 Jan 1852. He married/2 an 1853 Lucy M. Kimball. Lived in New London, Conn. Children:- Mary Anabel b 22 Sep 1849, died 6 Apr 1866: unmar // Frederic K. b 27 Jan 1854, died 31 Oct 1856 // Grace E b 16 Mar 1856, died 29 Mar 1872: unmar // William F b 14 Dec 1857 // Charles F b 10 Feb 1860.
