Biography

Sarah Ann Chitty and her husband Dr. James "Jim" Wesley Glass lived in Louisiana. They had 3 boys who became doctors as well. The family moved, at least part of them, to Texas and lived in Polk and Angelina Co, and the boys moved to Harris Co. Mom said they lived on Goose Creek but as I've found a creek by that name in LA, not sure she was talking about Texas.

I do know that one of the sons lived in Angelina as he married into the Allred family and she inherited a portion of land.

James Glass moved in Rapides parish, LA I'm still in the process of working these lines and there may be changes. Some of the research on these lines were done by a cousin but I do not have a copy of his files nor reference. So far they have matched up with my research, with mom's memories of the Glass children and even who they married.

The Glass family in the Lake Charles area as well as my Allsbrooks did and when they married I found the marriage listed to a Margaret Josephine Glass and J L Brooks.

Their daughter, Sarah Maragaret Josephine Glass married Joseph Leonard Allsbrooks I will tell you that this family was evasive in research due to the 1890 census was gone. The Glass family migrated to the Houston and Baytown TX area and one of the sons returned to Louisiasa and worked there until he died in a location just outside of Lake Charles. . ^[1]
