Sebastien Cholet migrated from France to New France.
Sébastien Cholet (Cholet dit Laviolette) was born March 7, 1677 in the Parish of St-Denis, Aubigné-Briand, (évêché/diocese) Angers, France (ar. saumur, maine-et-loire) to Sebastien Cholet and Perrine Hilaire.[1]
He married Marie Anne Heard dite Prévost, who was a New Englander captured by the Indians in the Candlemas Massacre in York, Maine in January of 1692. They married on October 19, 1705 in Montréal (Notre-Dame).
Sébastien and Marie Anne had 11 children: Marie Anne (m. Jean Baptiste Legault Deslauriers), Jean Baptiste (m. Marie Anne Faucher Foucher), Marie Marthe (m. Marie Antoinette Amable Legault Deslauriers). They remained married until Sebastien's death on April 14, 1728. He was buried in Pointe-Claire.
Marie Anne would then re-marry two years later. She married Claude Sensar Picard on August 1, 1730. This union produced no children as Marie Anne was now 50 years old. Claude Sensar Picard died December 25, 1739 and was buried in Pointe-Claire
Marie Anne died at age 70 and was buried on January 2, 1750 at Pointe-Claire.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Sebastien by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Sebastien:
I believe I found another possible duplicate for this profile while adding an image to (Sebastien) Cholet-dit-Laviolette-4 and also a duplicate for daughter Marie Anne who married a Legault: Cholet-dit-Laviolette-1 same as Cholet-39.
Cholet dit Laviolette-2 and Cholet dit Laviolette-1 appear to represent the same person because: Same birth and death dates; agree with Sébastien dit le jeune as father. and not Jean.
Perrine Hilaire married Sebastien Cholet, Sr. While it is true that she is the mother of the person in this profile, her husband was named Sebastien-maybe Jean was a middle or first name; Jean-Sebastien or Sebastien-Jean
