George Cholmondeley was a member of the aristocracy in British Isles.

Biography

George James Cholmondeley was born on 22 February 1752 to Rev. Hon. Robert Cholmondeley and Mary (Woffington) Cholmondeley. ^[1]

He married, firstly, Marcia Pitt, daughter of John Pitt and Marcia Morgan, on 17 August 1790.

He married, secondly, Catherine Francis, daughter of Sir Philip Francis, on 10 May 1814.

He married, thirdly, Hon. Mary Elizabeth Townshend, daughter of John Thomas Townshend, 2nd Viscount Sydney of St. Leonards and Lady Caroline Elizabeth Letitia Clements, on 4 October 1825. Together they became the parents of Frances Sophia Cholmondeley d. 23 Dec 1887^[2]

He died on 5 November 1830 at age 78.

He was Receiver-General of Excise.
